This past weekend we visited Yellowstone. We were all about the wildlife this time and we got so lucky! There were tons of bison but also black bears, grizzlies, wolves, elk, mountain goats, osprey and the majestic yellow bellied marmot.

Not pictured in these beautiful photos of Lamar Valley below are a pack of wolves and a very large grizzly that we saw. From a safe and very far distance! Shout out to all of the incredibly kind wildlife enthusiasts who showed us where to look and let us use their scopes. Otherwise these creatures are just specs on the horizon!

We also went on a couple of cool hikes. Around Trout Lake in Lamar Valley.

And along the Yellowstone River Overlook.

Of course, we also had to stop by Old Faithful and popped into the Old Faithful Inn. We walked around the Norris Geysers area for a bit too and tried to see the Grand Prismatic Pool from the boardwalk this time. No real shock, the overlook is a much better viewpoint.

We walked around the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces for a bit too. We were staying in one of the little cabins in town.

On the way home we stopped by the Tetons and Jenny Lake for a quick photo op. We’ve got a camping trip planned there for the middle of June. Hopefully the snow will be a bit more melted for our hikes by then!

Next weekend we’re heading up to Cody. Trying to pack in as much as we can during our short time here!
