This weekend Chris did another half marathon: Run the Alamo in San Antonio. It started off with cannon and musket fire which unfortunately was not captured on camera. Here is the returning hero though with the incredibly cool finisher medal, which included a commemorative coin inside of a covered wagon.

He ran this race faster than his first half and is already talking about doing another one. I don’t know that he’ll find many races outside of Texas that can beat this medal game though!
We had fun checking out the city too. We meandered down the riverwalk all the way up to the Pearl district and saw some cute baby geese on the way. The old Pearl brewery and warehouses have been transformed into an entertainment district and it was so cool to see the preserved architecture and machinery.

And remember the Alamo! Don’t worry we didn’t forget to pay a visit.
