A few weeks ago we said goodbye to Tennessee and hello to Texas! We had one last hurrah in Chattanooga at the Highland Park Porchfest, a very cool event where local bands play on porches throughout the neighborhood. It was really fun and a nice way to say goodbye to our friends and neighbors.

We are missing our friends in Chattanooga a lot but making the most of our time here in Austin. The Halloween spirit was running high here and we went to a couple of cool pop up events: a creepy carnival at Gibson Street Bar and an awesome transformation of the Nickel City bar into Moe’s Tavern from the Simpsons.

We’ve also had some excellent animal sightings, including a real cowboy on a horse at C-Boys down the street.

We’ve eaten some delicious Tex Mex and donuts.

And we did a nice little hike in Hill Country.

And I can’t believe I almost forgot! We got to see the bats at the Congress Avenue Bridge. So many bats!
Excited to explore more in the months ahead!
