Our first visitor

This past weekend we had our first visitor to Chattanooga: Chris’s Aunt Sandy! One of our most devoted blog readers but a first time visitor. She was right on time to see Chris do his first ever 5k run. He came in third in his age division!

We also took a trip across the Georgia border to visit Rock City. It’s a private garden that is open to the public with beautiful rock formations and artistic paths and also a few weird glow in the dark gnomes.

We took a trip up to Lookout Mountain as well where we got stuck in a pretty gnarly storm. Our poor Rav4 got a little banged up with falling branches but at least none of the fallen trees landed on us. No pictures of that because I think we’d all rather forget it!

I did get a few pics from my trip to Providence, RI last week though where I was training for my new job. Lots of cute little goslings and baby swans in the park across from my hotel!

Providence is a very pretty little city!
