Lindsay visits Valencia

Last weekend we had a visit from our most dedicated visitor, Lindsay! The weather didn’t really cooperate but we made the best of it despite the wind and rain. We headed to the beach and had some excellent seafood.

We headed out of the city to the Utiel-Requena wine region for a little hike and some wine tasting at the Vera de Estenas vineyard. The bobal grape is unique to this area and makes for a very tasty red wine!

We walked all over the old city of Valencia and visited the Central Market and strolled past La Lonja and the Valencia Cathedral.

We also climbed to the top of the Torres de Serranos, one of the city gates built in the 1390s.

And of course we had the local specialty Agua de Valencia, plus lots of other tasty food and drinks.

Thanks for visiting us, Lindsay!
