Goodbye, Australia

We’ve had such an amazing visit to Australia. Our little extra bonus days gave us time to get drinks and a goodbye dinner with our friend Jen visiting from LA. She is a travel fiend and hopefully we’ll connect with her again in Denver and Valencia! Find her on insta @jen_everett to follow her amazing travels.

With our extra time we had a chance to visit Manly Beach too. We didn’t do much swimming because of the blue bottle jelly fish but we went on a nice little hike up to a lookout and saw some cool lizards. The ferry ride out also has great views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

And just a few other things I missed in other posts. The Mersey River and Warrawee forest reserve in Tasmania. We did see a couple of platypus but not quite close enough to get a picture. They are bigger than I expected!

A nice little sunset over Devonport on our last day in Tasmania. Devonport is where the ferry comes in from Melbourne. It’s a 10 hour ride so we opted for flights this time.

And some random interesting sights from the streets of Sydney. Including a swarm of flying foxes that we saw from a rooftop bar at dusk!

We’re sitting in the Sydney airport now but I’m already missing Australia. Hopefully we’ll be back soon!
