Traveling Van with a Man

We were supposed to head up to San Jose this weekend to visit Chris’s family but Frontier had other plans. We made it all the way to the gate to find out our flight had been canceled. A very big bummer but we made the most of our weekend in San Diego instead! First stop dinner at the Laundry Pub at the Hotel del Coronado.

I learned that the Miami hotel scenes in Some Like It Hot were filmed here! I made Chris watch it with me as soon as we got home. He fell asleep half way through but “well, nobody’s perfect!”.

Next stop was the USS Midway! There were of course a ton of cool jets and helicopters on display on the aircraft carrier but also very cool opportunities to see the radar technology that was in use on both the ship and planes when they were still in active duty in the 90s.

So bummed to miss our trip north but a great bonus weekend in San Diego!
